Fall Men’s Retreat

Registration is open for our Fall Men’s Retreat on November 6-8, 2026.

Men’s retreats have been happening on Earthwork Farm since 1986, and we enthusiastically welcome folks from a diversity of generations, backgrounds, cultural traditions and perspectives. This is an opportunity to step out of the bustle of our lives, slow down, hold space and connect.

We seek to connect with one another, the Earth, our ancestors, our values, our purpose, and we welcome what comes up as we enter into an intentional space. We connect with a community of men who are here for the healing work and who each bring unique stories and pathways into healing and a deeper sense of purpose.

This will be lightly facilitated with periods of free time and opportunities to process in smaller groups.

Camping is available for all and we also indoor sleeping quarters for up to 12 people. Cost is on a sliding scale per person and scholarships are available as well. Friday arrival is between 2-5 p.m. and final circle will take place at noon on Sunday. Reserve your spot by sending full payment or deposit.

It’s simple, but rare for 20+ men to sit in a circle and take turns talking and listening deeply in this modern societal construct we are navigating, and it is deeply moving to collectively hold space for what wants to emerge and bear witness to one another with compassion.

In terms of expectations, one thing to consider is that there is a good amount of sitting and listening that takes place. We try to balance the sitting with some opportunities to get up and move / dance / walk. Yoga is offered in the mornings. Spontaneous fun and games could break out as well.

There is an expectation to be willing to listen and bear witness to others, but no one is required to speak, or to participate in any/all the items on the schedule. We operate within a confidentiality agreement—what is shared stays there, what is learned can come forth.

First come, first served

These retreats tend to fill up so take the leap soon if you’re interested.

• This is a full commitment retreat—please only register if you are available to participate in the whole process from Friday at 5 p.m. through Sunday at 1 p.m. You will be asked to enter a sacred space and open your heart to the process.
• Payment is expected immediately with registration unless arranged otherwise.
• Arrive by 5 p.m. on Friday. You can arrive as early as 2 p.m. but no later than 5 p.m.
• There will be no alcohol or drugs present at this retreat.
• This is for adult men only. Please plan for childcare for the weekend so you can attend fully without interruption. Adult Sons and Dad as welcome!
• No pets will be allowed, as well.
• Please attempt to carpool, if you can.
• No cancellations after October 15, 2026.

The weekend at a glance

The weekend starts out with folks getting oriented to where they’re sleeping and the layout of the farm, some free time. Dinner, then the first circle. We will gather and sit in a big circle in the main meeting space several times throughout the weekend, taking turns sharing.

The Friday night circle will stretch out for some time and emerging common themes will inform breakout groups on Saturday morning. Themes and stories of grief, loss, love and relationships, family, work, meaning, healing, etc often emerge. After lunch on Saturday we have solo time – the invitation is to set an intention and to spend 2-3 hours silent in nature and see what emerges. After that period we return to the big circle and share. After dinner on Saturday we often have one more workshop or conversation with a theme and then go into unscheduled time + music.

Sunday we sink into some collaborative creativity and see what emerges and then share once more in the closing circle. Lunch, chores, goodbyes! Optional cold plunge and sauna in the afternoon!
