Farm Projects

Earthwork Farm operates as a thriving working farm where regenerative agriculture and community building intersect through several core initiatives.

Beekeeping

Beekeeping has been consistent and ongoing through all the decades at Earthwork Farm. Bob shared his knowledge with the public in 2020 with the series BeeTV, and frequently offers workshops. Our honey and beeswax product line is available at events on the farm.

Camping

In 2026, camping in our forests and meadows will be opened up to the public via Hipcamp.

Cattle

Bob maintains a small herd of grass fed cattle and we often offer local burgers at our events.

Farm School

Building upon years of collaboration with Lake City Schools, we will be starting an annual Farm School day camp in 2026, details TBA.

Maple Syrup

Earthwork Farm is home to many mature sugar maple trees, and a custom sugar bush operation with buckets, a vacuum sapsucker, and a big, old school evaporator in our sugar shack. Look out for maple syrup at events while supplies last and sign up to volunteer and learn the trade when the sap flows!

Rentals

The House on the Hill (shown), The Yurt, The Barn, and the entire Farm will continue to be available for both short-term and long-term rentals for any occasion. Coming soon: The Gate House.

Sawmill

All of our stages and benches and many of our buildings were built on site with wood milled in our own sawmill. Bob built his mill from scratch using old machinery and Seth payed tribute in the song “Treeskin” (connect to the song on my website). While the mill is off-limits for safety reasons during most events, it is occasionally opened up for workshops.

Artist Residencies

The farm has been a sanctuary for artists and curated artist residencies have been happening for the last 20 years. Our residency program has supported artists from various disciplines: musicians, writers, visual artists, arts educators, activists, and community organizers who lean into creative practice.
